Gujarat University was established in the year 1949 by the Gujarat University Act. It is the state-owned public university that provides an excellent higher education at subsidized rates. Eligibility Criteria For Gujarat University Admission

For admission in the course, students who have passed the qualifying examination in the subject prescribed by the Gujarat University from the Gujarat Higher Secondary Board, CBSE, the Council of indian school certificate examination, the International Baccalaureate, National School of Open Education, and students who have passed 10+2 from any state other than Gujarat are eligible to apply for the undergraduate program.

For the post-graduation examination student must have passed bachelor’s program from any university recognised by UGC.any students who have passed the qualifying examination after appearing for supplementary examination conducted by board are also eligible for enrollment. A student who passed the qualifying examination by a board other than Gujarat or CBSE are required to submit eligibility certificate issued by the university. If a Student, after getting their admission confirmed, gets it canceled then a penalty of 10% of the tuition fee will be levied to student and remaining amount will be refunded to the source account., if a student get admission in the first round of the counseling and does not report to the college in the given time then they are required to submit the fee again in the subsequent round, Fee of the first round will be refunded back to the course account after deducting 10% of the tuition fee as admin charges. Gujarat University admission registration fees are INR 300. Gujarat University Admission Application Process 2026-27

  • Step 1: Registration – go to the website GCAS and register by giving your name, date of birth, mobile number and email address, students are advised to permanently save it for the future reference
  • Step 2: Academic details– fill up all the necessary academic details as per your marksheet and category certificate.
  • Step 3: Upload documents– upload all the scanned copies of the required documents.
  • Step 4: Choose university/program – choose the subject and university of your interest.

Gujarat University Reservation

Students who are a gujarat resident and falling under these categories are eligible for the reservation as follows , schedule caste is given 7% reservation, schedule tribe given 15%, OBC are given 27% and PwD are given 5%,EWS are given 10 % of reservation.students are required to produce their respective category certificates to the dean of admission during the application form submission.

There are distribution criteria among Gujarat board students and other board students. Gujarat state board candidates are given 90%of the seats whereas the remaining 10% seats are reserved for the students from boards other than Gujarat.

Gujarat University Placements

According to NIRF, the average placement from the university is 8.75 LPA. A total of 974 students were placed straight from the university whereas 611 students opted for higher education out of a total 1697 students enrolled in the year 2023. students are advised to look it up on the university’s website before opting for the college.
